The sheer joy and satisfaction you get from helping struggling young players become a proficient rugby team.
I know all this because I’ve a lifetime of experience in this game. And I’m willing to share it all with you. If you can spare me just 5 minutes of your time I’ll show you how to inspire and improve young players.
But before I explain how, let me make something clear. I’m willing to provide you with secrets like these, and much more, with a fantastic trial offer.
You are then free to try them out for a further year, completely risk-free, so I can prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that these techniques really do work.
If you’ve not won more games, got more respect from the kids and had more fun teaching them rugby, then you can have what you have received for free. That’s my personal guarantee.
But I am 100% sure you’ll stick with me.
My love of the game started back in 1976, when I was nine years old. I developed eventually into a player for Bath and then Bristol, at divisional and county standard.
In my time I’ve been lucky enough to work with and learn from some of the greatest modern players and coaches.
At Bath, my influence was Jack Rowell, before he went on to manage England. I’m one of many followers of the hugely talented Brian Ashton, the current England coach. And I played under former England supremo, Andy Robinson when he was captain at Bath.
While at Bristol, I was taught to kick by Dave Alred, soon to earn fame as Jonny Wilkinson’s kicking guru.
Today, I’m an RFU-qualified Level 3 coach, and a Welsh Rugby Union course leader. I live and breathe rugby every day as coach with the Ospreys Club in Swansea, South Wales (I’m head coach of Ospreys’ amateur side, and a skills coach with the Ospreys Elite Academy).
But it’s not always about coaching adults. Until recently, as Head of Rugby at Cranleigh School in Surrey, England, I had responsibility for 16 school teams. And I’m still helping out with Under 12s, Under 10s and Under 8s…
I know all the problems you face as a junior rugby coach
I’ve a unique knowledge of both senior and junior rugby. Which is why I jumped at the chance to be the editor-in-chief of Rugby Coach Junior, a service designed to help coaches like you.
It’s a source of “best practice” rugby coaching information that virtually guarantees you’re never short of good ideas. Even on those occasions when it’s ten minutes before training starts and you’re not 100% sure what to do with the team that day!
Imagine…
It’s Wednesday morning. You’ve not had time to work out a schedule for this afternoon's coaching session. You’re unsure of certain rules and tactics, but haven’t had time to do the research. Yet, you can’t bear the thought of letting the lads down, or seeing them lose matches.
Then you get an email from me with the latest newsletter. Its 4 pages are packed with carefully chosen strategies, practical tips and easy-to-implement drills. All of them tried and tested. All relevant and designed to help with the real challenges that you and your young team face.

All you have to do is print it off, read it, and use it as your blueprint for this week's coaching... and for your coaching for the coming months and years ahead.
You can try it out right away, if you like. Simply sign up today, take advantage of my trial special offer, and get 9 issues for 97p.
Share it among your colleagues or keep
it to yourself as a secret weapon!
I urge you to at least give it a try. Because this is the kind of coaching tool that will ensure you’re one of the best rugby coaches a child could ever hope for. Perhaps you’ll inspire the career of a future international.
Of course, I won’t pretend that I know everything. No single person could possibly maintain the stream of expert information and advice that you get, week in and week out, from Rugby Coach Junior.
That’s why, as editor, I make sure that I interview the sport’s leading coaches at school and junior levels, and quiz them about the secrets of their success. I actively seek out our many members’ advice on what works, or doesn’t work, for them. Then I get it all into the pages of Rugby Coach Junior.
Recently Norman Blair, who coaches in Ireland, sent in his ideas for defending against the maul. While Mick O’Reilly, who runs a successful junior set-up at Whitstable RFC in England, explained how he achieved better organised youth teams, on and off the field.
Two pioneers of youth rugby coaching to help you
But it’s not just me who will be helping you. The real strength of these coaching plans is that there are two more highly experienced experts on my team, Colin Ireland and Paul Tyler.

Colin Ireland was a rugby development manager for the Scottish Rugby Union. This is the guy who has been responsible for developing Coach Education in Scotland for many years. Now he’s a full-time rugby consultant.
Paul Tyler is a Scottish Rugby Union Level 3 coach coaching at Greenock Wanderers RFC in National Division 1. He was also a rugby development officer for the SRU, a qualified referee and is now training to be a teacher.
When it comes to modern day rugby coaching, these guys know their stuff. And together, we have created what we believe to be the best possible coaching service for the junior game available anywhere in the world.
It’s unique, because all information comes to you via email as a weekly, 4 page newsletter. It’s quick and easy to download and view onscreen. And you can print off copies for sharing and discussion with other coaches and teachers.
A “must-have” resource for any school
or club with junior players
Every week, Rugby Coach Junior builds into a comprehensive, easy-to-use library of coaching information, covering all aspects of the game. Eventually, you’ll have a huge range of exercises, strategies, drills and tactics at your fingertips.
All of them are tested on the playing field, and proven to work.
Of course, the best proof is to try it yourself. Sign up for our service today!

Rugby Coach Junior’s unique approach to coaching guarantees that, no matter how long your season, you’ll never be short of practical rugby training sessions, game strategies, set piece plays or fitness training routines.
NOW is the time to try something different
Think of it this way. If you really want to improve your coaching, and your players, you’ll need to do something different from what you’ve been doing until now.

There’s simply no alternative if you want to keep the kids enthusiastic, interested, and winning more games. Remember Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity: “Repeating the same thing over and over again – but expecting a different result.”
Rugby Coach Junior will change the way you approach your coaching by offering stimulating ideas, tips and sessions that don’t take long to read, and that you can use straight away. And every week you’ll get fresh new information so things never get stale.
I guarantee I can help you win more games
– if you put in the necessary effort
Now before we go any further, it’s worth making one thing clear. Rugby Coach Junior is no quick fix; no easy substitute for hard work and commitment. I cannot promise that it will take your team to the top of the league. As coach, you need to put in a bit of effort.
But if you rise to the challenge, you WILL win more games, and get more out of the lads. Take a look at some of these comments, sent to us by genuine coaches over the past few months, and you’ll see for yourself…
“This is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for to add inspiration and variety into training sessions.”
Rupert Townsend, Coach of Under 6s through to Under 10s teams,
Chipping Norton Rugby Club, Oxfordshire, UK
“I have recently subscribed to the new Rugby Coach Junior. With the start of the new (down under) rugby season, I have recently looked back through my copies, and am pleasantly surprised at what a useful and wide-ranging resource I have built up.”
Michael Hughes, Coach, University of Western Australia Under 9s,
Perth, Australia
“Rugby Coach Junior has helped me a lot in coaching both mini’s and youth rugby. The articles are easy to understand and put into practice, and you can adapt them to suit your needs whatever age you are coaching. We have won a lot more games since I have used them. A big thanks to Dan for relaying his plans to us.”
Tony Buckley, Coach, Gosport and Fareham RFC, UK
“Receiving quality coaching tips online is so convenient, and a very welcome innovation.”
Ray Codd, Master in Charge of Rugby at King’s College, Devon, UK
“Your coaching materials are great because they are realistic and applicable to modern day rugby. It is only left for us coaches to transfer the concept, skills and knowledge to our players and fellow officials.”
Kalisito Tunaulu, Coach, Nabua Rugby Club,
Suva Rugby Football Union, Fiji Islands
“I am now only in my second season as a coach and Dan Cottrell’s Rugby Coach Junior has proved a valuable aid. Not only has it helped us to train our youngsters, it has also brought a confidence to the coaches, which is now being reflected through the squad. By following simple yet proven ideas, the skill level of our players has improved and improved and improved, to a level where they are confident in playing attractive running rugby.”
Steve Jones, Coach, Nailsea & Backwell Under 10s, Bristol, UK

It’s experiences like these that explain why so many rugby coaches have already joined the worldwide Rugby Coach Junior community.
Coaches across the globe follow our advice
And not just from the Six Nations and Tri Nations… we have members from 47 other countries where rugby is steadily growing in popularity, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Argentina, and Portugal.
Even the tiny Solomon Islands, where coach Ken Averre has applied the methods to his fledgling team.
“It has given us a fresh insight into the game, and a distinct advantage over the competition,” Ken says.
Because it’s sent by email, wherever you are in the world, you can be sure the information in Rugby Coach Junior is “hot off the press”. Unlike the slower, more traditional magazine and books, where the advice and game analysis can be months, or even years, out of date.
Wouldn't you like to enjoy the same competitive edge?
While Rugby Coach Junior is increasingly popular with committed coaches on five continents, our membership is still a tiny fraction of the estimated 500,000 rugby coaches currently working in the sport.
So joining up today is one of the smartest rugby moves you’ll ever make, giving you on-tap access to a host of coaching ideas that few of your fellow coaches know about.
It’s like having a sixteenth player on your team – and it’s completely legal.
As you can tell, I am so excited about the possibilities of Rugby Coach Junior. But there’s only so much I can say on a website like this. There’s only one way to KNOW for sure how powerful this coaching tool is. And that’s to TRY IT.
